Support
Taking the step to meet a therapist can sometimes be difficult. The question of trust arises, and it can be hard to address certain life experiences marked by fear, shame, anger, or sadness. Sometimes, words are not enough or seem inaccessible. In those moments, artistic creation can be a true support: it allows you to express what is too painful to verbalize, to explore your inner world, and to open new perspectives.
In the first sessions, we will take the time to get to know each other and focus on a deep understanding of the issue you bring. The sessions begin with a moment of exchange, which may be followed by a moment of creation, accompanied or followed by a sharing moment to reflect on what has been felt and the thoughts that have emerged.
My role in this process will not be to interpret the artwork, but to accompany you, facilitate reflection and understanding, and support you in exploring your feelings, in order to find the missing pieces of your puzzle and discover what your true needs are.
Empathy
Empathy, active listening, and compassion are the foundations of my approach. Your needs and pace are at the heart of each session. Every session is unique and will follow the path you create, without rushing.
Non-judgment
The therapeutic space is one of non-judgment, respect, and kindness, where you can freely and authentically express your emotions, feelings, and story while being supported and guided.
Confidentiality
Art therapy provides a safe space to express what may be difficult to verbalize. The information you share during the sessions, whether verbal or expressed through artistic creations, is confidential.
The non-directive approach allows each person to express themselves and create at their own pace, if desired. The focus is on the process, on expressing what "is" rather than on aesthetics or the outcome.
